On October 31st, 2024, we celebrated Halloween with our Grade 1 and 2 students—and what a fun day it was! Along with my amazing co-teachers May, Angel, Peggy, Jenny, and Joyce, we taught the students a few classic Halloween chants, including the ever-popular:
“Trick or treat, smell my feet, give me something good to eat!”
It was absolutely adorable to see the students dressed up in their costumes, fully embracing the spirit and traditions of Halloween. Their excitement was contagious!
Although I didn’t have a costume myself, one kind student kindly lent me their fancy hat so I could join in the fun when it was time for us to hit the stage. It was such a thoughtful gesture and made the day even more special.
Halloween at school is always a treat—but this one was especially memorable.
