To register for camp, please log on to your Parent Portal starting March 12, 2019. If you are new to Turning Point in the 2019-20 school year, please register here using the same credentials you used to access your Admissions portal during the enrollment process.
Enrollment is on a first-come, first-served basis, and payment (credit/debit card only) is due at time of registration. Classes close when they reach maximum enrollment, so you are encouraged to sign up early. Summer Camp is open to new and returning Primary students through recent Grade 8 graduates. Grade levels listed refer to the grade level students will be entering in the 2019-20 academic year.
Once you successfully register for Summer Camp, you will receive an auto-email with a link to the Summer Camp contract (or you may download it here). Please note that you must complete and return the Summer Camp contract prior to the end of this school year.
Please sign and return the contract promptly to the school, Attn: Summer Camp. Forms can be mailed in, dropped off at the Front Desk, faxed to 310-841-5420, or emailed as a PDF to frontdesk@turningpointschool.org.
No student may start camp without a returned signed contract. If you have questions, please contact Summer Camp Director, Jacob Snyder, at jsnyder@turningpointschool.org or 310-841-2505 x148. There will be no refunds. Payment shall be considered binding.
After Camp Care is $20 per day and ends at 6:00 pm. There will be a $20 late fee assessed for every half hour, or fraction thereof, after 6:00 pm. After Camp Care fees go into effect 15 minutes after dismissal begins.
For After Camp Care questions, contact Jacob Snyder, Summer Camp Director, at 310.841.2505 x148 or jsnyder@turningpointschool.org.
For After Camp Care, nutritious snacks will be provided daily, as well as an engaging program provided by After Camp Care faculty. Age-appropriate activities and projects will include arts and crafts, science, cooking, sports, and music. The Game Room will also be available for After Camp Care use.
You will note that all of our veteran Turning Point families use Carpool drop-off in the morning. We understand that for your child, this might be too "new," so we encourage you to walk your child into camp for the first few days as necessary. However, we also encourage you to use Carpool drop-off as soon as your child is ready. If you walk-in on Monday and/or Tuesday, and you think that on Wednesday your child might be ready for Carpool, please give it a try.
Transitioning to Carpool drop-off as soon as your child is ready is consistent with what will happen once school starts in the fall, and so it is important for our younger students to be accustomed to this transition. Please remember that the Grassy Area and the Primary Playground are reserved for campers and teachers only. It is much easier for all of our campers to separate if the play areas are reserved for students and teachers only.
