Calm is Contagious
Be gentle with yourself, please.
Stress is a regular part of daily life for people. Some stress in our life is good and healthy for us. For example, when stress is manageable, it can motivate us into action, challenge us, help us achieve our goals, and bring out the best in us. This kind of positive stress is sometimes called "eustress".
However, some stress in our life is unhealthy for us. It can over-stimulate our nervous system in ways that can harm our health over time, drive us to unhealthy coping habits, and bring out the worst in us. This type of negative stress is sometimes called "distress".
Learn how to manage stress and strong emotions, and strengthen your relationship with yourself and others with the mindfulness strategies below.
