Leadership isn't just about being in charge—it's about the positive impact we have on others!

Rooted in the principles of human-centered leadership, our School Counseling initiative encourages students to develop self-awareness, empathy, responsibility, meaningful relationships, and an understanding of how their words and actions affect others.

Through the Leadership Lens, students learn to view everyday situations as opportunities to lead with kindness, character, and purpose. By focusing on three essential areas—Care for Self, Care for Others, and Care for Community—students discover how thoughtful choices and small actions can make a meaningful difference at school, at home, and beyond.

Our goal is to help every student recognize their leadership potential and become more aware of the positive influence they can have on those around them.

HELLO Club: Growing Leaders, Building Community! 🐾

At Brown Elementary, our fifth-grade HELLO Club student leaders are learning that leadership begins with caring for ourselves, extends to caring for others, and grows through caring for our school community.

Through our yearlong Leadership Lens Series, students explore mindfulness, empathy, kindness, responsibility, and the power of positive influence.

Three times a month, student leaders participate in leadership training, reflection, and collaborative planning. They put their skills into action by organizing inclusive lunchtime activities, supporting schoolwide initiatives, sharing student voices through podcasts, and helping make Brown Elementary a place where everyone feels welcome, respected, and valued.

Together, students helped strengthen kindness, connection, belonging, and positive school culture across our campus.
