This tool is only to be used by current students that are enrolled in a band course.

Use your student gmail account to create a login/password for SmartMusic. 

The band director is able to grant you access to this tool by providing a class code that is associated with that year’s subscription.

This application can also be used for homework assignments! Look out for upcoming due dates as your band director assigns new challenges.

SmartMusic can be used to give you instant feedback on playing accuracy and rhythm with the microphone option. You can also hear the recording of yourself playing to better understand areas of improvement.

There is also a large collection of music for diverse practice options (classical, pop, marches, etc.). These can be played on your free time for enjoyment. 

Smartmusic is especially helpful during Regional audition preparation because you can use the application to hear the etudes and practice them at customizable tempos.

You can even use Smartmusic at your Solo/Ensemble audition with its accompaniment option. This can save you the stress of finding a pianist available for your audition time.
