Attention all 4th-8th graders!
Corona del Sol Choir Workshop 2024!
September 17th, September 24th, October 15th and October 22nd
Choir Workshop Parents:
You will receive 2 complimentary tickets (one for your workshop student and one for a parent or guardian) to attend our Fall concert on October 24th at 7 pm at Desert Vista High School. Additional tickets can be purchased at the Corona del Sol bookstore starting the Monday before the concert, any remaining available tickets will be available at our ticket table on the night of the concerts (cash only night of concert)
We are so excited to meet you and your student tomorrow for our first choir workshop! Practice begins at 4:30 pm and will end at 6:00 pm.

All Workshops begin at 4:30 pm and end at 6:00 pm.
Where:
Practice will be in the Corona del Sol Choir Room C171. The Fall concert will be at Desert Vista High School on Thursday, October 24th. More information will be provided as we get closer to the concert date.
Parents are welcome to stay and watch, or drop off their kiddo and come back at 6:00 pm.
Most of the choir workshops will take place in our choir room C171. The Jaztecs students will be on the side walk on Knox Road with signs showing the kids where to enter, welcome them to Corona, and escort them to the choir room.
Drop off, Pick up, and Parking:
If you are dropping off, you will see the Jaztec students on Knox Rd. with signs. If you are coming from Rural, You will drop off on Knox Rd. just before you get to the parking lot by our auditorium. This will be the same place for pick up. If you are planning on staying, you can park on Knox if there are spots, or you can park directly across the street at the Arizona Community church parking lot.
Please note:
Middle school students:
Unless being picked up by a parent in the classroom, middle school students will be escorted out to the sidewalk on Knox Road by a few of our Jaztec choir students.
4th and 5th grade students:
Students will remain in the classroom and we ask that a parent or guardian come to the classroom to pick up their student. Parents who will be attending the workshop with their student can leave at the end of practice with the middle school students. Parents who are picking up will line up against the wall right outside the classroom and we ask that you allow the middle school students to make their way out of the hallway first to avoid any confusion. We appreciate everyone’s patience, understanding and cooperation with this process as we want to make sure your students remain safe. After all parents in the hallway have picked up their student, if there are any remaining we will escort them out to the sidewalk on Knox Road to be picked up.

Corona del Sol is excited to announce a very special workshop for all those interested in learning about and/or joining the amazing CDS choir program! Our workshop theme this year will be the Moon and Stars!
Come meet our awesome choir Director Mr. Andrew DeValk and our top choir, the Jaztecs, for this FOUR week workshop on Tuesday September 17th, Tuesday September 24th, Tuesday October 15th and Tuesday October 22nd from 4:30-6pm in the Corona del Sol Choir room.
Please note- there will be a break in the middle of the choir workshop for Fall break. We are aware that Kyrene students are still on Fall break on Tuesday October 15th however the workshop will go on as planned on that day for as many workshop students as can attend. Please sign up no later than Friday September 6th to ensure your spot!
After the workshop, your student will get to perform in the CDS Fall choir concert on Thursday October 24th at 7pm and show you all the fun they had and what they learned. More information will be given to students that sign up for the workshop.
We are excited to announce that this workshop will be free again this year! Your student will receive a CDS choir T-shirt to commemorate their time with us and music, materials and snacks will be provided each day. More information will be sent to those families that sign up closer to the start date. Please sign up soon to reserve your spot. Looking forward to seeing you there!
This year's fall concert will be held at Desert Vista High School due to the remodel of our auditorium.
