Success and Achievement are not the same thing. Achievement is something that is reached or attained, like an exam result or another goal. It is something tangible, clearly defined and measurable. Success, in contrast, is a feeling or a state of being.
Eclipse aims to bring together the development of the whole person, developing confidence, and ultimately success, in young people.
By using Eclipse – a framework for the St Lawrence academy to develop and accredit in students those personal attributes essential for employability and life. Our framework uses a system for the identification of attributes in young people and the appropriate level of award. Students will use it to begin to think about the actions they have taken, and need to take, and the support and help they will need in order to develop.
The areas developed through Eclipse are split into these 7 areas, they have been associated with a character to help the students reference the area they are developing quickly and easily.
