The Achievement Team Leader (ATL) for Year 7 is Mr Cretney. He is responsible for the personal development and academic progress of each student. Mr Cretney leads the team of tutors and mentors, and will lead meetings of the teachers of the year 7 group. The purpose is to monitor and evaluate the progress of students, and develop classroom strategies that can be implemented by teaching staff to address underachievement. Mr Cretney complements the work of the curriculum teams because he will bring together the evidence from all subjects. The role of ATL is to nurture each student individually, building strong relationships and maintaining a supportive, caring environment for students to thrive within.

Classroom standards/expectation, Learning Climate / Displays, Numeracy and Literacy standards, Assessment and Reporting, Homework, Independent Learning and Curriculum. She works very closely with Mr Cretney from Transition all the way through year 7 and on to the other year groups.
