A Note From Mrs. Pinto

Dear Pinto Diner Families and Friends,

Hello to all!   I will send home newsletters in student folders  (those will be given out the first week of school) and email them to you.  That way, you will have both a hard copy and a digital one given directly to you.  Newsletters will not be posted here on my website.  I am excited you will have up-to-date information at your fingertips.

  Mindfulness in Communication 

• • 1. Please send a note with your child if they are going somewhere else, either during or after school. If something comes up during the day, please call the office instead of emailing me, and they will send me that information. The school number is 765-463-2237. The goal is that this will happen very infrequently.  Changing transportation daily is tricky and can cause missteps and confusion at the end of the day.  

    2. I come to school early each day. I like to work at the front end of the day, so I usually leave immediately after school.  

    3. Remember that I have extended hours at least twice every nine weeks, during which you can come in and see what your child is working on.  

    4. Emails:  I will respond to emails as quickly as possible, but always within 24 hours unless it is the weekend.  If you need to schedule a meeting, please feel free to email me with a morning (8:55-9:20 a.m.) or afternoon time that works for you.  I will also be available for phone conversations as well.   That way, we can resolve needs quickly and keep anxiety down.  I will follow that same procedure.

    5. I travel on most school vacation days. I won't be responding to emails during those times.
