Kindergarten Discipline Policy
Listen and follow directions.
Raise your hand before speaking.
Keep your hands and feet to yourself.
Be kind and show respect to your classmates and adults.
Be the best kindergartener that you can be!
Students will be given a verbal warning after the first offense. The student may lose a reward or have a time-out depending on the behavior. If the behavior becomes a continual problem, I will contact you for a short conference and discuss concerns; otherwise, you may consider this to be normal childhood behavior.
Kindergarten Grading Policy
Your child's mastery of the standards taught will be shared on the report card four times a year. The evaluation scale is as follows:
90%-100% Mastery = 4
80-89% Mastery = 3
70-79% Mastery = 2
69% and Below = 1
All items marked (3), (2), or (1) will result in further teacher-assisted work toward mastery. Unmarked items indicate that the instruction and assessment of that skill will be given at a later time.
