Parents/Guardians and Students:
While Trumbull High School offers an exceptional educational experience, there are other exciting options available. Some of these options are public and free, while others are private with tuition and fees.
Representatives from Agriscience, Aquaculture, Bridgeport Military Academy, Fairchild Wheeler Interdisciplinary Magnet School, Regional Center for the Arts (RCA), Bullard Havens Tech, and Emmett O'Brien Tech will be at Hillcrest to present to students during the mornings of October 16 and 17.
If you and/or your child are interested in any of these options, we strongly recommend that you and your student visit the school’s website directly for any additional information. Please note that we are not endorsing any particular school(s) that are on this website – we are just presenting the information for schools that have been presented to us.
When students are considering attending a high school other than Trumbull High School, applications are typically required. This typically means that those schools will be requiring information from Hillcrest (Grade Reports, Letters of Recommendation, and other materials). Due to the amount of paperwork we must process and the number of students making these requests, please submit the items listed below 10 school days prior to the high school's application deadline.
a completed and signed Release of Records form provided by the school you are applying to
Applications will be sent to the receiving school once both items are received.
Other Important Information:
If a school requires Letters of Recommendation from teachers, we ask that the STUDENT politely ask their teacher to complete a recommendation for them and provide those teachers with the recommendation form.
Trumbull Agriscience & Biotechnology Center: The fully completed application is due to the HMS School Counseling office no later than Monday, November 25th due to the Agriscience deadline of December 1.
Bridgeport Regional Aquaculture Science & Technology Education Center:
Return the signed Release of Records to Mrs. Wheeler in the Counseling Office.
(Once the Counseling Office has the Release of Records, the teacher and counselor can write their recommendations)
Kindly ask one teacher for the recommendation and send the form in email (typically an 8th grade teacher)
Kindly ask your counselor to write a recommendation, and provide them with the form
*** Be sure to include the email: gtice@bridgeportedu.net on the following three forms when requesting a recommendation. The forms are to be submitted directly to Aquaculture by the various people completing each of the 3 recommendations:

-Counselor Recommendation
-Personal Non-Relative Recommendation
All three above forms are directly emailed from the person writing the recommendation and NOT returned to you.
