If I were to complete another drama production, I would make several changes.
First, I would create department leaders. Each crew would have one person responsible for reporting progress to the directing team.
Second, I would use smaller deadlines. Instead of checking everything close to the final rehearsal, I would set deadlines for props, costumes, sound, lighting and multimedia well in advance.
Third, I would start technical rehearsals earlier. All videos, audio, lighting cues and stage transitions should be practised together before the final dress rehearsal.
Fourth, I would create backup plans earlier. The project showed me that equipment and design plans can change quickly, so it is important to have alternatives ready.
Finally, I would work on my communication under pressure. I want to remain clear and direct, but I also want to become better at controlling my emotions and adjusting my tone.
