A hearty congratulations are in order for High School South's Marching Indians, who have started off their competitive season exceptionally well.
The band brought home the first-place trophy thanks to their high-energy, high-precision performance at the "Music Under the Stars" marching band competition at Manchester Township High School this past Saturday, Sept. 13.
"Not only did they win first place in their size group," said proud band director Christopher Test, "they outscored all the other bands in their class regardless of size!
The Marching Indians currently sit atop of Group 2A across the entire tournament, which includes bands from all over New Jersey, southeastern Pennsylvania, and northeastern Delaware.
If you're interested in seeing them in action, you can catch the band performing “Agent 54” at their next stops including 5:30 p.m. this Friday, 5:30 at Neptune High School and 3:10 p.m. this Saturday at Brick Township High School.
Way to go, Marching Indians!
