All Year 9-13 Trinity netball teams play in the Secondary school section of Saturday netball. This means that players are not committed on Saturdays in the holidays.
The first game is Saturday 11 May and play continues until Saturday 24 August.
All Year 7-8 players have their first game on Thursday May 30 and continue through until Thursday 22 August with a festival day on Thursday 15 May.
There are a number of school tournaments available for the various levels and if your child is selected, you will get further notice. These include the Otago Secondary Schools tournament, the Catholic schools junior tournament, the Years 9-13 co-ed tournament, the Junior South Island Secondary and the Senior South Island Secondary tournaments, the Years 7 & 8 Taieri and Mount Aspiring Interchanges.
Player Development Netball opportunities
This year, Year 9 and 10 players will be involved in development days and tournaments rather than U14 representatives. Dunedin Netball believe it is valuable to give more opportunities for players to experience tournaments as well as still encourage the competitive traits of players and encourage growth and development of all players in this age group. The rationale in this, alongside NNZ’s review, is to keep more players in our great sport for longer.
