Request for Proposals (RFP)-

TCS is currently accepting proposals for the 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 webinar training series to be held in March and April 2022.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 (𝗧𝗖𝗦)?

TCS is a group practice dedicated to providing quality affirming mental wellness care to gender and sexual minority groups. TCS strives to ensure access to care, both inside and outside of TCS, through efforts to increase the quantity and quality of care providers for sexual and gender minorities. This conference is one of the ways TCS works to meet the goal of increasing quantity and quality of care.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗧𝗖𝗦' 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲𝘀?

In all of TCS’ work we hold it to be true that:

Black Lives Matter,

Trans Lives are to be honored,

Neurodivergence is different, not less,

Fat bodies are valued regardless of health,

All bodies are to be valued regardless of ability, and

Therapy is a part of dismantling oppressive structures.

It is vital that all of the people and organizations that TCS contracts with or supports share these values as well.

To support these values, TCS actively seeks opportunities to listen to and lift up voices of gender, sexual, and racial minority people in all of TCS’ work. TCS is seeking to primarily bring Trans and Queer experts to share their wisdom at this conference.

𝗪𝗵𝗼 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝘂𝗱𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲?

This training series is designed for mental wellness providers interested in learning more about working with Gender Diverse clients. They may have diverse levels of experience, so TCS will be providing a Queer 101 session on day one for anyone who needs it. This is designed to allow presenters to have the opportunity to really dig deep in their sessions.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝘁?

Sessions will be virtual, and split up over the course of the four weekends in March and April 2022 from 10 am - 1 pm EST. Each individual session will be 2 hours in length (10:30-12:30). When you submit your proposal for one of the 2-hour slots, please indicate if you have a preference for which day/s you would prefer your presentation to be scheduled. You are welcome to submit multiple proposals.

With presenter permission, sessions will be recorded. These will be available on TCS’ website, and presenters will also have access to the recordings to use in whatever way they want.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘀?

We are not limiting proposals to only Gender Diverse presenters, but preference will be given to people who have this lived experience. We will be requesting continuing education credits for attendees, so please attach your resume or vita to show your status as a content expert (you do not have to be a mental health professional as long as you are a content expert on the material being presented, and the material is relevant to mental wellness professionals).

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗧𝗖𝗦 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀?

The conference will focus on issues related to mental wellness practice in service of Gender Diverse people and communities.

Special consideration will be given to topics that include (but are not limited to):

- Queer BIPOC experience

- Socioeconomic diversity

- Neurodiversity affirmative care

- Disability and transition

- Power, privilege, intersectionality

- Spirituality and gender diversity

- BDSM, kink, polyamory, and nonmonogamy

- Native tradition and gender diversity

- Working with WPATH SOC

- Transition within families (partners, parents, siblings)

- Healthcare (accessing, services, needs)

- Macro level practice (policies, advocacy, leadership)

- Advanced clinical practice

- Community and clinical group work

- Eating disorders and gender diversity

𝗗𝗼 𝗜 𝗴𝗲𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱?

We believe strongly in paying people for their work. This conference is not a money making endeavor for TCS. We commit to paying $200 for each presentation regardless of attendance.
