ARIA IN BLOOM - On Thursday 9th May a beautiful sunny morning, a team of Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Towcester joined the residents and staff at Brook House Care Home in helping to add numerous new plants to the gardens. The day was named "ARIA in Bloom" to celebrate the gardens in the home's grounds.
Brook House is a Corporate Member of the Rotary Club of Towcester and this morning demonstrates the close relationship that the Club has with its Corporate Members.

THE 1ST TOWCESTER BROWNIES received a cheque donation of £200 from the Rotary Club of Towcester seen her being presented by President Paul. The monies will be used to purchase badly needed equipment to replace currently worn out mats, etc.
The Rotary Club is proud to be able to support the youth organisations in Towcester. These funds are generated by the generosity of the townsfolk of Towcester who support the Rotary Club's collections and events. A BIG thank you Towcester.

A TOMBLES PRESENTATION - The Tombles of Towcester CE Primary School have been awarded a Certificate of Thanks for the sterling efforts of all the children during their Litter Picking week. The children, otherwise known by the Tombles, collected over 86 kgs of rubbish. The Rotary Club of Towcester is proud to be associated with the school and thanks them for their environmental initiative.

TOWCESTER PRIMARY SCHOOL TOMBLES - A week of litter picking organised by the Tombles of the Towcester Primary School. A school wide demonstration of their determination to help keep Towcester clean and tidy. Well done school.
This afternoon's effort was supported by the Towcester Evening WI and the Rotary Club of Towcester and continues through until Friday. This gives the children a pride in their environment and teaches them about keeping their surroundings litter free,

THE TOMBLES OF TOWCESTER CE PRIMARY SCHOOL continues with day 4 of their Towcester litter pick.
This time along the footpath between Waitrose and the Silverstone Brook. By day 5 the whole school will have been involved, teaching the children their environmental responsibilities by not dropping litter.
A number of the children have remarked at the fact that people just litter.
WELL DONE CHILDREN, A GREAT EXAMPLE OF YOUR CONCERN FOR THE ENVIRONMENT.

MOZART & BEETHOVEN COMES TO TOWCESTER courtesy of the Rotary Club of Towcester. The club sponsored the amazing string quartet, CASSIOPEIA who performed at St Lawrence's church on Saturday evening. The audience of over 100 were treated to pieces by Mozart and Beethoven. The 4 , Thomas Bentley, Jacob Gritt, Rosanna Lowe and their leader, Lizzie Rowland (ex-Sponne School) excelled in their performance and were greatly appreciated by all.
The Rotary Club of Towcester wishes them all the success for the future in their musical career.

Thanks to the Junior TTFC for a generous donation of used football kit - shirts and shorts. The Rotary Club of Towcester is supporting The Rotary Club of Kettering Huxloe who in-turn are managing a school project in Agona Swedru, GHANA. The project consists of refurbishing a dilapidated classroom and the provision of IT equipment, part of Rotary International overseas development of schools in poorer countries. The football kit will be shipped out free of charge by the Kettering Club and the children will be kitted out in TTFC green strip!!! Thank you TTFC.
