This section will cover which documents you can request, when you can request them, how to request them, and what the process is.
Find the document you want below, and we will give you all the details!
A Completion Letter is an official document that is required by an external organisation to confirm a student has graduated or completed the necessary requirements to finish their degree. At the end of each term, IMC reviews students’ eligibility for completion and issues the completion letter to eligible students. If students have queries regarding their eligibility to meet requirements, they should contact an adviser in the Academic Team.
You can request one if your CoE needs to be extended during your studies.
For a copy of your CoE, please email your full name and student number to coe-extension@imc.edu.au
A Proof of Enrolment Letter is a letter used to verify and confirm a student’s enrolment at IMC.
To apply for a Proof of Enrolment Letter, please email your full name and student number to myrecords@imc.edu.au.
After submitting your request for a Proof of Enrolment letter, please allow around 48 hours to receive your document.
An Academic Transcript is a certified record of a student’s full enrolment history at IMC. This includes all courses attempted, results received, and awards conferred.
Students can order a transcript anytime during their studies. Still, it will only contain results for the completed units to date. IMC currently doesn't offer pre-order transcript. If your results have not been released on your student portal, they will not be displayed on your official transcript.
For a copy of your Academic Transcript, please use this link to order one. Alternatively, you can obtain a hard copy in person (appointments are required). There is no cost for picking up your transcript in person (available for onshore only). A delivery fee is applied if you wish to have it delivered (domestic).
When ordering a transcript, current students need to pay a fee for each copy. After submitting your request and making your payment, please allow around 72 hours for your document to be ready.
Good to know: IMC is currently not registered for MYEQUALS. However, this service will be available in future. Further updates will be provided.
Please note: If you lose your transcript for any reason and request another one, there will be a reprint fee applicable per copy, so please ensure you store it in a safe place. Once you have fully paid for your transcript, it is printed, and a scanned copy is also sent to your nominated email.
A Holiday Letter can be issued to confirm that a student is on an official term break and has no scheduled classes during that period.
During the official holiday period between two terms, students may work without limitation in accordance with Australian student visa conditions.
The standard Holiday Letter covers only the designated term break periods (e.g., between T1 and T2, or between T2 and T3).
Students may apply for a Holiday Letter by completing the online form here.
Once submitted, the application will be reviewed by the Student Services team. If all details are accurate and eligibility criteria are met, the letter will be issued as soon as possible. Students are advised to ensure that all information provided is complete and correct to avoid delays in processing.
Applications for the Holiday Letter should be submitted after Week 12 of the term. The applicable holiday dates will be updated accordingly at that time.
Students who have successfully completed the required full-time annual academic study load within two terms, but still have one term remaining in the same academic year, may choose to continue their studies or alternatively apply for an approved break.
Prior to taking an approved break, students must first obtain formal approval from the Academic Team. Only after receiving Academic approval should students contact myrecords@imc.edu.au to request the issuance of an official letter confirming the approved break.
Students should ensure that approval has been granted before requesting any documentation.
For Academic enquiries, please contact the relevant Academic Services team:

Students are encouraged to carefully review the relevant study load requirements and eligibility criteria before applying. Further information is available at:

A Completion Letter is an official document that is required by an external organisation to confirm a student has graduated or completed the necessary requirements to finish their degree.
Completion Letters are issued via your nominated email address within 20 working days after the release of semester results. This is an automatic process, so students are not required to take any action. If students need a completion letter before 20 working days, please contact myrecords@imc.edu.au at your earliest convenience.
Upon completion of your degree and before receiving your completion letter via email, IMC will need to confirm that there are no outstanding fees or documents. If a student gets emails from Admission or Fees regarding anything outstanding, immediate action will be required as this will prolong your request for documents, including their release. Once all outstanding documents/fees are processed and cleared, please contact myrecords@imc.edu.au to confirm your status.
As mentioned, Completion Letters are typically issued within 20 working days (3-4 weeks) after the release of semester results.
Good to know: Completion letters are free for students and can be used for Visa applications, job applications and further study applications.
A Graduation Certificate is a certified credential that represents the completion of a degree at IMC.
Graduation Certificates can be collected in person or sent via post. If a student requires their Graduation Certificate to be posted, you can apply via this link and additional charges will apply. Students can request a scanned copy via myrecords@imc.edu.au. If a student loses their original certificate and needs a reprint, you can request one via this link and a fee is applied.
Graduation Certificates can take up to 4-6 months to be available after a student has completed their degree. Students will receive an email to inform them that their certificate is ready for collection or posting.
Good to know: Student Graduation Certificates and Academic Transcripts are free of charge to graduates. Both can be used for degree verification, but students may also use their completion letter as proof.
