Chocolate Factory Mystery:
In order to solve this mystery, students had to use their detective skills to decode 5 witness statement clues. They learned about Morse code, pig pen cipher, braille, semaphore.
They had names and details of 32 suspects.
They were highly engaged and eager to come work on it until they figured out who the candy thief was!
Our Creativity Unit has been taking place in 1st Grade Seminar which happens once per semester for a consecutive hour.

Students began reading books to learn about whales. They completed a K-W-L chart, and they are discovering which whale they are gravitating to learn the most about.
