Soliloquy Sublime
On that starry and ephemeral night,
you were sterling and silver and effervescent light,
raining down from the rearing radiant heavens high.
Only dreamers dreaming could ever hope to descry:
your smile, and sigh, and softly whispered silken lullaby.
A cosmic being draped in a grand and gorgeous glowing.
Only a dream undreamt could ever hope to be knowing:
your luster, and laugh, and loving score.
This I have dreamt only once before.
On a moonlit bright and elegant night,
when dawn met dusk in a vast twilight,
on the isle of my mind on that sandy shore.
This I have dreamt only once before
An Elysian waltz within my searing celestial dream,
you spun and sprung amidst the starry seraphim,
and I gasped in awe and I gazed in wonder.
One such as me could only ever dream and slumber,
dream serene in this sublime splendor of yore.
This I have dreamt only once before

Defy Death’s Way
Step not into His veil of dark decay
a godless thing of spite creeps in harrowing sight;
Death be gone, go where the shadows play.
Though old men will toe the line of gray
to gaze over the side, despite such great height,
step not into His veil of dark decay.
While young men will live in gleam of day
cast with glow of bright in such blinding light;
Death be gone, go where the shadows play.
But tired men will wish not to stay,
wavering still in this site of wretched night;
step not into His veil of dark decay.
Yet wise men know they have only today,
their inspired hands alight and do elegant write:
Death be gone, go where the shadows play.
For love and life, good men will pray,
harmonize and incite a chorus of song recite:
step not into His veil of dark decay;
Death be gone, go where the shadows play.
