“The mission of The Lincoln Academy Technology Education Department is to empower scholars through a comprehensive, career-focused curriculum that promotes exploration, innovation, and workplace readiness. Through rigorous, hands-on learning experiences supported by strong theoretical foundations, we prepare students to succeed in an ever-evolving technological landscape. In partnership with Black Hawk Technical College, we further enhance scholar opportunities by offering dual-credit pathways that support advanced learning and post-secondary success. Additionally, all students complete a 450-hour, work-based learning Youth Apprenticeship prior to graduation, ensuring authentic industry experience and real-world skill development.”
The Technology Education Department believes that true mastery occurs when scholars engage in a balanced combination of hands-on application, foundational theory, and real-world practice. We recognize that authentic learning extends beyond the classroom, which is why every scholar participates in a Work-Based Learning Experience as part of their educational journey. Our philosophy is rooted in providing students with meaningful exposure to industry environments, diverse technologies, and practical skill-building opportunities. By offering robust experiences that connect learning to life beyond The Lincoln Academy, we strive to prepare scholars for success in both postsecondary pathways and the modern workforce.
