The Technology Education curriculum at The Lincoln Academy is reviewed and revised annually during the fall semester. This collaborative process engages technology instructors, school administration, and counseling staff to evaluate and update curriculum frameworks, course descriptions, and program alignment. Each course undergoes a systematic review informed by instructor feedback, classroom implementation data, and industry experience.
Annual revisions ensure curriculum remains current with emerging technologies, evolving industry standards, and workforce expectations. The Lincoln Academy maintains active partnerships with more than 52 local and regional industry partners, whose input supports curriculum alignment with authentic workplace skills and competencies. This collaboration is especially critical in supporting Work-Based Learning opportunities such as Youth Apprenticeships and Internships.
Technology instructors are provided direct autonomy within this structured review process to revise course content, instructional strategies, and assessments each year. Working in partnership with industry representatives, teachers continuously refine curriculum to ensure scholars are well prepared for postsecondary education, skilled employment, and career pathways aligned with regional workforce need
