PHASE B: CHOOSING A SUITABLE PREVENTION ACTIVITY
With the online survey sent out effectiveness of prevention activities was identified. The survey instrument utilized was an online questionnaire designed on Google Forms. The survey used multiple choice, 5-point Likert scale, and open-ended questions.
Some risks have common causes. The causes can trigger the same negative consequences. This explains why one prevention activitity may be used to deal with different risks.
Some activities may be more effective than their scores suggest. If a solution was mentioned infrequently, it could not receive a high rating. This lower frequency of mentions could be due to:
activity's novelty;
inaccessibility due to limited resources or awareness.
Now, you have a more complete understanding of the reasons and their negative impact on the dropout problem, distributed by importance and degree of influence for your organization. At this phase we move on to choosing a solution. At this phase, the problem tree is viewed as a solution tree.
Select a prevention activity you think is appropriate for the risk you plan on dealing with.
