For all children under the age of five, we have arranged for them to receive free milk at school, funded by the UK Government's Nursery Milk Scheme, you just need to register!
However, do not let your child miss out on school milk after their 5th birthday
When your child turns five, you have the option to pay for their milk to continue - we have made arrangements with the UK’s leading school milk supplier, Cool Milk, to supply milk at a subsidised cost of just 22p per day.
What you need to do:
Visit www.coolmilk.com as soon as possible and select "Register your child for milk here", then follow the on-screen instructions to register and pay.
A portion of fresh, chilled milk at mid-morning break provides protein, calcium and other vital nutrients, important for your child's growth and development. It is also a great way to bridge the gap between breakfast and lunch, re-hydrating your child and helping them to concentrate in class.

School Meals
Palgrave Primary School uses Aspens Catering Service for all catering needs. Our school meals are cooked freshly everyday, in the kitchen at Gislingham CE Primary school and then driven over in special containers to Palgrave. We have a small team of lunchtime staff who then serve these meals to our children and supervise them.
Each day, children have two choices of hot meals including a vegetarian option. They may also choose Pasta, a jacket potato with various toppings or a school packed lunch.
This does not have to be pre-booked as we are able to offer a flexible system where children state their preferred option at registration each morning. Children are also welcome to bring their own packed lunch from home in a named container. We actively encourage healthy eating.
All school meal options are priced at £2.55 for pupils in years 3 - 6, and must be paid for in advance using ‘Arbor’.
