Unit 1, Activity 1: (Re)Visiting Future Ready Frameworks

1. While you are likely familiar with the Future Ready gears and the Future Ready Librarians Framework, review both the core gears/wedges (ex. Budget and Resources) and the actions (ex. Invests Strategically In Digital Resources) in the Future Ready Librarians Framework.

2. In addition to the Future Ready Librarians Framework, there are Future Ready frameworks for instructional coaches, principals, tech leaders, and district leaders. Select one of these job roles and compare it to the library framework

3. Consider these questions as you review them:

• Beyond the same wedges, where do you see similarities?

• What are the differences?

• Are they accurate based on your own experience and context?

4. In preparation for a later activity, complete the short Librarian Partnership Snapshot survey by September 20, 2020.

5. In the Facebook Group, post your thinking on the following prompt:

• Which wedge of the Future Ready frameworks has been most impacted by the pandemic and changes to your school? (Ex. Budget and Resources) Briefly explain.
