Thornhill Primary School will be using Accelerated Reader to help our students develop their reading skills to become the most talented and successful readers that they can be. Students can enjoy a wide range of quiz-ready books to develop and test their reading ability. Thornhill Primary School provides the following to its students for Accelerated Reader:

• Regular Star Assessments to determine student reading levels and needs.

• Daily Reading Periods for reading and book quiz completion

• Daily access to the School Librarian and School Library, including:

  • The Accelerated Reader Browsing Collection

  • The General Library Collection

• Library periods with an opportunity to receive AR related training, enjoy great read-alouds, and receive reading and library support.

• 24/7 Access to levelled and quiz-ready e-Books through myON

• Fun individual and class rewards for reading and "levelling up".

• 0.1 - 1.9 : Green

• 2.0 - 2.9 : Red

• 3.0 - 3.9 : Dark Blue

• 4.0 - 4.9 : Orange

• 5.0 - 5.9 : Pink

• 6.0 + : Purple
