A program with a sequence of courses that prepares individuals to apply technical knowledge and skill to use current welding processes, including robotics welding. These courses are based on the American Welding Society (AWS) task list.
The Welding Department offers three separate certificates:
Welding Basic Technician program is designed for students enabling them to learn a basic welding skills foundation to enter the welding industry.
Welding Intermediate Technician students learn familiarization with welding machines and processes. Skills taught include basic acetylene welding, oxygen acetylene cutting, and beginning welding skills.
Welding Advanced Technician students can specialize in industrial welding, oxygen acetylene cutting, arc welding, mig welding, plasma cutting, TIG welding, and pipe welding.
Supplies fee may be required.
