The TSC library serves as a welcoming hub for reading and learning for our whole school community. Students in grades K-4 visit the library with their classes on a weekly basis and students in grades 5-8 visit every other week, as well as independently and for research projects. The librarian collaborates with faculty across grade levels and disciplines to weave information literacy skills into TSC's integrated curriculum. The core mission of the TSC library program is to promote and cultivate a love of reading and learning and build a community of readers.
Our librarian develops a robust and dynamic collection of current fiction and non-fiction books, including audio books and e-books. The library also hosts author visits, facilitates a Junior Librarians program and our school's beloved, annual mock Caldecott Award, the Leo's Choice Award (Leo the Lion is TSC's mascot). The TSC library is open throughout the school day to provide a safe place for individual students and faculty to read, study and relax, collaborate in small groups, conduct research, and connect with other TSC readers.
The library is open for families to read with your children Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays 8-8:30 AM.
