Phillip began his work in Suggestive Accelerative Learning and Teaching in the early 1980s and founded a foreign language school, Speakeasy Language and Cultural Center, in Minneapolis MN., that taught 8 languages using Accelerated Learning- all of the 40 teachers were trained by Dr. Charles Schmidt and Mr. Peter Klein and it was the data from this school that brought Dr. Lozanov's attention to the work being done there.
He participated in multiple workshops in Europe as they became available by Dr. Lozanov and Dr. Gateva. He was instrumental in securing the publication of Dr Gateva’s dissertation Creating Wholeness Through Art. He organized and orchestrated Dr. Lozanov and Dr. Gatevas visit to Salt Conference in Seattle, Washington . He supported many Accelerated Learning teachers through his work as Executive Director of SALT (the Society for Accelerative Learning and Teaching), 10 Summer Certification Intensives led at Office for Accelerative Learning at Winona University in Minnesota and partnered with Dr. Charles Schmidt and possibilities Ms. Jane Bail in the development of corporate training streams and managed the results and applications in large multi corporations in the fields of energy, oil, hospitality, transportation and telecommunications.
Responsible for the strategic operations and material development and production in large scale language Academy installations in organizations seeking result-oriented language programs, these installations took place internationally in over 32 different countries. Phillip worked directly with the the administrators at Atlanta Public Schools and Australia Ministry of Education, as well as Ministry of Education in Canada, Mexico and Malaysia to adapt and implement the Flexible Learning system in Accelerative Learning to diverse cultural settings. Together with ICAL staff, Ms. Sinead Randig and Dr. Labiosa, he has written and created number of Accelerative Learning self-study, teacher resources and materials.
