Associate Professor, Master Trainer, a foreign language teacher, the author of English textbooks for adults, the author of numerous teacher training programs and articles on innovative methods of teaching and learning.
Larissa was trained by Galina Kitaygorodskaya who belongs to the first generation of Dr. Lozanov trainees. In the late 70s, Prof. Kitaygorodskaya created her educational system “Activation of Individual and Group Potential” which is based on Suggestopedia ideas and offers an innovative technology of foreign language teaching.
Kitaygorodskaya Method has completely changed Larissa’s understanding of education. Creative teaching has become the essence of her life. For the past 33 years, Larissa has written nine English textbooks, has designed dozens of innovative teacher training and foreign language programs, and has trained hundreds of teachers in Russia and worldwide.
Larissa started her work with Dr. Kitaygorodskaya in 1989 as head of the Teacher Training Department in the Center of Intensive Foreign Language Instruction at Moscow State University, then became director of the Center “The Art of Teaching” which specialized in training teachers of different subjects, for 11 years she was heading Moscow Jury of “The Best Foreign Language Teacher” Contest.
Larissa took part in Dr. Lozanov's seminars in Sweden and Russia, actively participated in SEAL and SALT conferences, and learned a lot from them.
At present Larissa is Associate Professor, Master Trainer and text-book writer at the Research Educational Center “Kitaygorodskaya School”.
