Swimming

We are delighted to be able to offer a TKS Swim program which will include a variety of opportunities for students to get involved and develop their enjoyment of swimming as well as their technique and provide opportunities for competitive swimming.

In addition to curriculum lessons, there are 2 co-curricular swim program offerings during Cycle 3 with different focusses:

  1. TKS Swim Club for students who would like to develop their technique further and possibly compete at additional events throughout the year. Open to students from G4-12 during Cycles 2, 3 & 4.

  2. TKS Swim Development for students who would like to develop stroke technique, take the first steps towards possible competitive swimming and have some fun with activities/games that also contribute to technique development. Open to students from G1-7 during Cycles 1, 2, 3 & 4.

Students who sign-up for any of these activities will have a swim assessment to group them accordingly based on their swim technique and experience. Some students may be recommended to attend the KAUST Recreation Learn To Swim program to develop their confidence and technique prior to being able to join the activities offered at TKS.

To be able to offer this extensive program from G1-12 throughout the year there will be costs for student participation in all swim activities except the TKS swim team. These costs have been aligned with the KAUST Recreation Learn To Swim Program.

For detailed information regarding the structure of, and criteria for participation in, each of the swim program offerings in addition to specific information regarding the costs, please refer to the TKS Swimming Website.
