It is time to think about what books you may want to borrow for the summer. It is also time to look for those last few library books and return them before the year comes to a close.
The last day of borrowing for the school year is May 23rd and all school year books that are past due should be turned in. The last day to return books for the school year is June 3rd.
If you are interested in borrowing books over the summer there are a few things we want you to know:
We are no longer issuing permission forms for students to borrow books over the summer. It will be assumed that if a student checks out a book over the summer they will return it either over the summer or within the first few days of school.
Books borrowed during summer are limited to five (5) at a time starting June 5th. If you finish the books you may return them and come back for more, up to five books.
We request that families planning to go on trips leave the library books at home and take your child’s books with them on vacation, to avoid damaged or lost books.
***SUPER IMPORTANT!!!*** To check out books, we need the GREEN OR WHITE CHECKOUT CARDS in the books left with us in the library. Please be certain that the student's first name, last initial and their grade is listed on the card. The date can be blank. (See the back of the flyer for checkout instructions.)
The library is accessible over the summer Mon-Fri 9am-4pm. If you have questions about borrowing books and the librarian is not present, please check in with the front office or contact Kelly Johnson.
Summer books must be returned no later than September 19th. Books not returned or that are returned damaged will be charged to the family's account.

All library books have a green or white card with a barcode. Most students know how to sign out and there is a sign near the circulation desk with instructions as well:
Please be sure your student's first name, last initial and grade they will be in the fall is listed.
Please leave the date column blank.
Put the card in the little basket at the desk.
You're all set, easy peazy lemon squeezey.
