Down syndrome
Dakota's Pride on PBS
Down syndrome is a genetic condition that can cause a variety of physical and cognitive differences in those who have it. Despite these differences, people with Down syndrome can live full and meaningful lives. They can lead independent lives, attend school, hold jobs, and contribute positively to society. People with Down syndrome are known for their bright and cheerful personalities, as well as their resilience and determination. They often have a strong sense of empathy and a great capacity for love, making them wonderful friends and family members. People with Down syndrome can bring joy and enrichment to their communities, and those who are fortunate enough to know them are always better for it. Below are three clips from the Theglp documentary that aired on PBS, Dakota Pride. You can watch on Amazon Prime.
