Lisa Oster, Director
Lisa is a dancer, dance educator, nonprofit administrator and mother. She earned a BFA in Dance Education from The University of the Arts (Philadelphia, PA) and a graduate degree in Nonprofit Management from The John Molson School of Business at Concordia University (Montreal, QC, Canada).
Her career began in Philadelphia, teaching dance and creative movement in several schools, and then headed to New York to work with arts organizations throughout the New York City metro area and on a statewide level. She was in program management with the Arts & Business Council Inc and Americans For The Arts.
After a three-year stint in Montreal completing a graduate degree and working for a The McConnell Foundation, Lisa returned to the Philadelphia. She was member of the dance faculty at at Darlington Arts Center (Garnet Valley, PA) and in Corporate Relations for People’s Light (Malvern, PA).
Lisa, her husband Andrew, a graphic designer and photographer, and their two sons live in Media, PA. She has a popular workshop program called Dance Me A Story that tours preschools and libraries. For nine seasons, Lisa has been the co-choreographer and coach for the Dancing Like A Star Fundraiser for the Delaware County Gaelic Football Association (Delco Gaels). Lisa teaches dance and movement classes in addition to her role as the current Director of The Creative Living Room.
