Graduating students can begin their college journey by completing an application below for college admissions. Please view College Requirements prior to completing the application to ensure requirements have been satisfied. Feel free to make an appointment with your Blue Ridge Academy counselor to review college admission requirements and their high school graduation plan.
The California Community Colleges (CCC) offers 116 campuses throughout California
You can get a certificate or associate degree. Some CCCs offer bachelor’s degrees.
You can transfer to a four-year college after two years.
You need to be 18 or have a high school diploma. Blue Ridge students can take classes while they’re still in high school.
Application Fee: Applying to a CCC is free. There's no application fee.
Deadline: It’s different for every CCC. Check your campus website.

The California State University (CSU) offers 23 campuses throughout California.
You can get a bachelor’s degree in a wide variety of majors. CSUs also offer master’s degrees and some doctoral degrees.
Campuses range in size, from just under 1,000 to almost 40,000 students.
You need to complete “a-g” courses and meet CSU eligibility requirements.
CSU Application Fee: $70/Campus. Eligible students may qualify for a fee waiver.
CSU Deadline: November 30th

The University of California (UC) offers 9 undergraduate campuses throughout California.
Nine UCs offer bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of majors. UC San Francisco only offers graduate programs in health sciences.
Most UCs have 20,000 to 30,000 students. UC Merced, the newest campus, has just under 8,000.
You need to complete “a-g” courses and meet UC eligibility requirements.
UC Application Fee: $80/Campus. Eligible students may qualify for a fee waiver.
UC Deadline: November 30th

Amount of time to Complete Application: Varies. Prepare a minimum of 2-4 weeks to answer the 4 Personal Insights questions (PIQ).
UC Application Resources:
The Common Application (Common App) is an online college application. You can use it to apply to more than 900 different colleges. It’s mostly used for private colleges, but some out-of-state public colleges use it, too.
Application Fee: Application fees are set by each college. They usually range from about $30 to $75. You may be able to get a fee waiver from the Common App or your college.
Deadline: You can create a Common App account anytime. Application deadlines are set by each college and vary. Some colleges have a deadline as early as November 1st.

The Common Black College Application (CBCA) is an online college application. You can use it to apply to 60 different Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs).
Application Fee: For $20, your application will be available to all 60 member HBCUs. You can’t get a fee waiver for the CBCA.
Deadline: You can create your CBCA account anytime. Check with each college about their deadlines.
