Career and Technical Education (CTE) is a program of study designed to integrate core academic knowledge with technical and occupational knowledge. Programs provide a wide range of learning experiences spanning a variety of career tracks, fields, and industries. While Career Tech Education is designed to prepare students for the world of work, completion of a pathway also helps pave the way to additional study after high school and possible employment while in college. Through their capstone course, students may have the opportunity to gain work experience through internships, job shadowing, on-the-job training, and industry certification opportunities. Students, please contact your HST if you are interested in completing a CTE pathway.
