This year the High School Science class studied Chemistry. The students have worked very hard. After understanding how the Periodic Table is organized they learned how to name formulas and compounds. One of the hard concepts they worked on was learning about Moles (not the little brown animals) but the amount of a substance. They learned to balance chemical equations, write equations in words and symbols, and the 5 types of chemical reactions. The year ended with learning Stoichiometry which is the mathematics of a balanced equation.

Being in person gave us the opportunity to perform a variety of lab experiments.
