The Chamber Music Society's new online initiative, CMS Front Row, gives you and your students an opportunity to learn more about CMS artists and about music fundamentals with the opportunity to ask questions which will be answered as part of each program: Artist Series and Inspector Pulse@Home
Artist Series – beginning Sunday May 17 5pm EST and available on-demand
Experience an HD digital concert series comprised of live performance video from the CMS archive, highlighting the artistry of eight CMS Artists, with an introductory interview offering audiences a personal look into the artists’ lives during the COVID-19 pandemic. Each concert will also include visual program notes and end with a live Q&A with the featured artist hosted by CMS Co-Artistic Directors David Finckel and Wu Han.
Inspector Pulse@Home – beginning Friday May 22 11am EST and available on-demand
Join Bruce Adolphe as the world’s greatest and only Private Ear, Inspector Pulse, for short, weekly music lessons exploring the fundamentals of music making and a digital Q&A. Perfect for young and curious music-lovers! Streaming on Fridays at 11:00 am on the CMS Facebook page, videos will then be available for on-demand streaming on the CMS website with accompanying activities and a learning guide.
With music by Rachmaninoff, Bernstein, Tom Lehrer, John Musto, and many others, this program will feature four young singers and a pianist selected by Artistic Director Steven Blier for a weeklong residency at Caramoor.
