Outdoor Wear

Muslim girls may wear a bottle green OR black hijab (white in the summer) provided the fabric is plain and lightweight and their face is not obscured for learning, communication, identification, and CCTV. (Any supplier)
Please also be aware of the following in regards to our uniform policy:
Jewellery
No jewellery other than wristwatches or a necklace of religious significance may be worn (for health and safety reasons, necklaces must be worn under the school jumper)
Bracelets should not be worn to school; Sikh students may wear the Kara
The only piercing allowed is a small single gold or silver stud worn in each pierced ear lobe
No other piercings are allowed (e.g. nose studs) and students will be asked to remove them immediately
Non uniform jewellery will be confiscated and returned at the end of term
Jewellery in PE Lessons
“Personal effects, such as jewellery, religious artefacts, watches, hair slides and so forth, should always be removed to establish a safe working environment” (Safe Practice in Physical Education and Sport)
Personal presentation
Make up should be very discreet – students will be asked to remove it otherwise
Fingernails must be short - nail extensions must not be worn. Nail varnish may not be worn - students will be asked to remove it
Hairstyles are expected to be conventional - hair colour should be natural (not dip-dyed) and shoulder length hair should be tied up for all practical lessons
Coloured hair extensions are not permitted
No decorative attachments are to be worn in the hair, Plain hair bands should be either green, black or white
