Our praise and recognition system is designed to celebrate the success of all our students. It is underpinned by the belief that continual praise of each students’ own personal best conduct and attitude to learning is fundamental to establishing and reinforcing appropriate behaviour and work patterns. Rewards are routinely used to create and reinforce positive relationships at all times. They are recorded by the teacher on PARS and regularly communicated to parents and carers when certain benchmarks are reached.
Praise & Recognition SERVICE points – awarded for SERVICE including excellence in classwork, home learning , attitude to learning and extracurricular participation which parents can see daily.
Letters – Praise points are tracked, recognised and achievement benchmarks are communicated to parents/carers every term through letters.
Magic Monday vouchers - issued on selected ‘Magic Mondays’ by staff to recognise positive work, effort or conduct. Students hand the vouchers into the canteen and receive items to the value of £1 per voucher.
Praise & Recognition SERVICE points – awarded for SERVICE including serving the school and community, improved conduct, leading others and contributing to the school and community which parents can see daily.
Student of the Month – one student from each year group is recognised for a special contribution in their year assembly.
Attendance and Punctuality Certificates – Certificates are awarded termly and annually for 100% attendance and punctuality.
Outstanding Students receive a personalised letter every half-term for achieving 100% attendance, punctuality and zero behaviour points.
Reward Evenings – organised every term for students who consistently demonstrate excellence.
Above and Beyond Award – students who are nominated for an exceptional contribution to the school community, receive a certificate and a letter home from the Head of School

Letters are sent home every half term for students who gain zero conduct points or certain amounts of praise and recognition points.

Golden Tickets - awarded to the top 10% (Attitude to Learning and Progress) of students in each year group after each report cycle.
Reward Assemblies where exceptional contributions or acts of kindness are celebrated.
Conduct Award – promoting kindness and respect for others (Respect, Values and Integrity points). Students are awarded Conduct SERVICE Points in Arbor. The tutor group with the most every half-term is served breakfast by tutor, Head of Year and members of SLT.
