The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) is the government agency tasked to manage and supervise technical education and skills development (TESD) in the Philippines. Its goals are to develop the Filipino workforce with "world-class competence and positive work values" and to provide quality technical-education and skills development through its direction, policies, and programs.
The Provincial Training Center – Dinagat Islands (PTC-DI) is the newest amongst the PTCs of Caraga Region which started to fully operationalize on the first quarter of 2021 offering Driving NC II qualification utilizing the existing structures previously occupied by SNCAT-REESPC Dinagat IsLands Campus.
On the other hand, the center is so privileged for having a complete staff complement adopting the hierarchy type of culture. It is defined by structure, established procedures, and levels of authority. Employees in this culture know precisely where they fit in the chain of command – who’s accountable to them, who they report to, and what the rules are. It is imperative in this culture to do the right thing.
As a newly created Center, it is the desire of the Provincial Training Center – Dinagat Islands (PTC-DI) to contribute, help and be an integral part of these goals. We are bound to our duty as citizens of the Philippines and as TESDA employees. We instill within us the TESDA Mission, Vision, Value Statement and Quality Policy.
We made it a point to instill values and integrity in the conduct and delivery of TVET in the province of Dinagat Islands and create a conducive and enabling environment for the development of quality service delivery of trainings in the whole province.
As TESDA’s Value Statement states:
“ We believe in demonstrated competence, institutional integrity, personal commitment, culture of innovativeness and a deep sense of nationalism. “
Provincial Training Center – Dinagat Islands is, will be and will always be “ YOUR FRIENDLY TECHVOC PROVIDER”.
