Arrival to Campus

Please Note

• Tuition does not include the cost of travel to and from the program

• Do not book your flight to the program until you've been notified to do so

Traveling to Yale

• Check-in is between 2-6 PM at Yale University on the Arrival Day. Please check out the Arrival Day page for more info!

• For commuters, local Shuttle/Transportation information can be found here

• SSB offers airport shuttle service

  • For families planning on utilizing the airport service, please make sure your flight aligns with the required time window:

    • Option 1 (Preferred): Flights must arrive at Bradley International Airport (BDL) Airport between 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Arrival Day

    • Option 2: Flights must arrive at John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Airport between 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM on Arrival Day

  • If you have opted into the SSB Airport Service, please make sure to upload the correct forms.

• Unaccompanied Minors: Depending on the airline and your student's age, families may decide to purchase the Unaccompanied Minor Service through your airline. Unaccompanied Minors are provided an escort by the airline to/from the gate. The airline must also have the name(s) on file in advance of the individual(s) who will escort the unaccompanied minor through security and wait until they board, and who will retrieve them upon arrival.

  • If you are traveling as an Unaccompanied Minor please note this in your completed flight itinerary form found in the Pre-Program Requirements page. You must inform SSB if you decide to purchase this service from the airline. 

Travel while on Program

During your program, there will be certain scheduled events where students travel off campus. All program related travel is included in your tuition cost!

Departure from Campus

Departing from Yale

• Check-out is between 7-10 am. Please check out the Departure Day page for more info!

• For commuters, local Shuttle/Transportation information can be found here

• SSB offers airport shuttle service 

  • For families planning on utilizing the airport service, please make sure your flight aligns with the required time window:

    • Departure flights must be booked from BDL or JFK Airport anytime after 12:00 pm.

    • Please note, staff does not stay on site at the airport with your student

  • If you have opted into the SSB Airport Service, please make sure to upload the correct forms.

• Unaccompanied Minors: Depending on the airline and your student's age, families may decide to purchase the Unaccompanied Minor Service through your airline. Unaccompanied Minors are provided an escort by the airline to/from the gate.
