Acceptable alternatives include: iPad, Chromebook, or a notebook. Devices will be used for note-taking and research. The courses that require a laptop cannot use an alternative device; there is specific programming necessary for the course
Cell Phone & Charger
Summer Springboard will be using mobile devices to communicate with students regarding schedules, excursions, meeting times and attendance
Water Bottle
Recommended for summer days and proper hydration. Water fountains are available in facilities for reuse
Comfortable Walking Shoes
Students will be walking to courses, taking campus tours, excursions, and touring Seattle
Government Issued or School Issued Photo ID
Identification Card, Driver’s License, or Passport
Extra Spending Money or Digital Wallet
Almost everything is covered in tuition, but you may want to bring some spare cash for snacks at the airport or souvenirs for family and friends
Important to note: With more places being "cash-free", we strongly recommend that students have a credit/debit card saved to their phone wallet and/or carry a physical card with them

Feel free to bring what makes you comfortable for the day. Personal snacks, sunscreen, bug spray, eyeglasses, sunglasses, hat/baseball cap, portable chargers or plug-in chargers, and any other personal items you like for day-to-day comfort
All commuter students are required to check in on the Sunday evening of the program from 4:00-6:00pm. Check-In location will announced in Spring 2026.

Students will participate in icebreaker activities, orientation, and a welcome dinner. This is an excellent opportunity to make initial connections and get to know fellow students. Pick-up is scheduled for approximately 8:00-8:30 pm, with confirmation provided by on-campus staff.
Commuter students must arrive to campus by 8:30am at a location that will be communicated to all commuter families.
They will be greeted by the Commuter RA they met during check-in, who will guide them to the all-student orientation and their first class
Students participate in our program from 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday - Friday. The daily schedule includes academic courses, lunch, afternoon workshops, academic excursions, and various activities.

The last day of program is the last Thursday of the session. The day includes their final class, lunch, a celebratory evening graduation, and an optional dinner and soirée to conclude the session.
Families have the option of adding on weekend excursions at the rate of $125 per day.
Saturday: The Day in Boston including Back Bay, Boston Common, Faneuil Hall, and a Duck Tour
Sunday: Six Flags
