Cleaner Part-Time, Fixed-Term

About the Role

We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented cleaner to join the Terrace End team. You will help maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene in our administration block and school hall. 

Job Type: Cleaner, Fixed-Term, Part-Time

Start Date: Immediate or by negotiation if notice is required for current employment

End Date: Tuesday, 15 December 2026

Pay Rate: $25.43 per hour

Hours: Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm - 5:45 pm, Friday 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm (14 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors and surfaces.

• Sanitise and disinfect high-touch areas (door handles, light switches, kitchens, and bathrooms).

• Empty rubbish bins and replace liners.

• Clean dirty marks off windows, walls and carpet as required.

• Order cleaning supplies ahead of time.

• Report any maintenance or safety issues.

• Store chemicals correctly and keep them in the locked cleaning cupboard when not in use.

• Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines.

Skills and Requirements

• Previous cleaning experience is preferred but not essential (full training provided).

• Good physical stamina and attention to detail.

• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy work ethic.

• A valid New Zealand driver's license and reliable transport are a plus.
