Enrolment Zone

Enrolment at Terrace End School is governed by an enrolment scheme. Click on this LINK to view the enrolment zone which includes the map on the final page. 

The Terrace End School Board has determined that for 2026 there are likely to be up to 17 out-of-zone places at new entrant level. The exact number of places will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone. There are currently no out-of-zone places at other year levels.

Applications for 2026 will close on Friday 10 October If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available students will be selected by ballot to be held on Monday 13 October. Parents will be advised of the result of their application within three school days of the ballot being held.

Parents of students who live within the home zone planning to enrol in 2026 are also encouraged to advise the school by this date to assist us to plan appropriately.

Any unfilled places or additional places that become available during 2026 will be advertised midway through the preceding term - please see the school website for details.

New Entrant Enrolments

It is a good idea to pre-enrol your child any time around their 4th birthday. Please pop in and meet us or complete the Enrolment Contact Form at the bottom of this page so we can contact you directly. We would love to be able to show you around our school and answer your questions at a time that is suitable for you. It is important that an enrolment form is filled out and put on file with the school.

Pre School Visits

A letter will be sent to your child about six weeks before they are ready to start school. This will let you know the times for the preschool visits for your child. Each visit becomes progressively longer: parents are asked to stay at first and then the child will be given time on their own as parents may either leave or pop over to the staff room for a coffee. 

Procedure

On the child's first day at school, after they have turned 5 years of age, parents need to provide the following information: 

Proof of residency, either a birth certificate or passport.

Clarification of immunization status 

Immunization is not compulsory. Instead, the school has to keep on record whether each child has been immunized or not.

Other Enrolments

If your child has been in a school before enrolling at Terrace End School, you will not require the above certification. Completing our enrolment pack is sufficient.
