In TK, we offer a play-centered and developmentally appropriate learning environment for students to develop the necessary skills they will need to be successful in kindergarten. We teach lessons whole class, in small groups, and work individually with students, as needed. Students will learn and practice through music, play, and using many different sensory modalities.

RECITATIONS 

For our recitations, we learn a new nursery rhyme every week. The nursery rhyme is taught through music and includes hand motions. Each quarter, we will perform several of these nursery rhyme songs for our families.


SPECIALTY CLASSES

-PE lessons will be taught by Mr. Rogers on Mondays.

-Students will visit the school library with Mrs. Wong on Mondays.

-Music lessons will be taught by Mrs. Outhier on Mondays.

-Spanish lessons will be taught by Senora Arias on Mondays.

-Art lessons through the Meet the Masters program will be taught once a month by Mrs. Wong and Mrs. Mata. They will be assisted by parent volunteers.
