 Charge your device every night
Bring your device to school fully charged
Carry it with two hands when walking
Place it on a flat, clean surface not on books or stuffed desks
 Close the lid gently
Shut down your device at least once a week to keep it running smooth
At the end of the day (Elementary/Middle School), return it to the cart and plug it in
🚫What NOT to Do
Don’t eat or drink near your device
 Don’t write, draw, or put stickers on your device
Don’t remove or cover KUSD labels, including the faculty or your name
 Don’t drop, toss, or leave your device on the floor or a bed
Don’t squeeze it into a tight bookbag; it could crack the screen
Never carry it by the screen
Use only the Device assigned to you. No sharing with other students
Don’t share your login info, your account is for you only
🏠Using It at Home
Log in with your KUSD Google email (@students.kusd.edu)
Connect to Wi-Fi by clicking the time > Wi-Fi icon > choose your network. Please Refer to this Document for more instructions
Only use your device for schoolwork, no games, social media, or streaming
🔌Charging Expectations
Grades K–8: Devices are charged at school overnight in carts
Grades 9–12: You must charge your device at home each night
*Tip:Â Avoid leaving it plugged in 24/7. This can wear down the battery*
đź§˝Keep It CleanÂ
Use a dry microfiber cloth to clean the screen
Keep food, and drinks away from your device
Never use liquids or cleaning sprays
🛠️ Technical Support for Student Devices
If your district-issued device is broken, not working properly, or acting strange, report it to your school’s technician right away so it can be repaired or replaced quickly
Who Provides Support?
Every school in the district has a TST (Technical Support Technician) on site
Depending on staffing and resources, the following support services may be provided
Troubleshooting and repairing broken or malfunctioning devices
 Loaning devices while yours is out for repair or lost
Answering questions about devices or approved online tools
Submitting warranty claims when needed
Important Reminders
Do NOT take district-owned devices to outside repair shops
All repairs and maintenance must go through KUSD’s official support team
⚒️ If Your Device Breaks or Is Lost
Report damage or loss to your teacher or the Tech Office immediately
If you receive a loaner, you are responsible for it until it's returned
