Muffin Tin Counting
Put one small item like beans or marbles in each cup, and count as you go. (Do you have a 24 count mini-muffin tin?)

Create letters out of playdough.
Watch it Dissolve!
Stir a spoonful of sugar into a glass of water. Watch it dissolve.
Stir salt into water.
Stir some dry rice into water.Which dissolved; which did not?
Magnet Mystery
Take a refrigerator magnet off the fridge, and find 3 surfaces it sticks to, and 3 it does not.
Sink/Float
Fill a large bowl of water.
Predict items that will sink or float.
Put items in the water.
Did they sink or float?
Try an orange, and a peeled orange. Be amazed!
Float a paperclip
Put one square of toilet paper in a bowl of water. Carefully place one paperclip on TP.
Wait until TP sinks. Paperclip will float.
(Surface tension.)
Disappearing Egg Shell
Fill jar w/vinegar. Leave ½” at top. Place egg in jar.
Keep lid loose so gas escapes. Leave egg in vinegar for 2+ days.
Remove egg and observe. Hold your shell-less egg gently

Easy Tape Cross
Child creates cross out of 2 pieces of tape on paper. Color whole paper with crayon (or use watercolor paints) Color OVER tape. Remove tape.
Handprints
Trace your hands.
Color them.
Cut them out.
(They nailed Jesus to the cross, piercing his hands with nails.)
3 Crosses on a Hill
Prep: Watch quick video 3crosses.MOV and draw a simple hill.
Child: color below hill green, above hill blue. Fill entire pg. Draw 3 crosses on the hill. Jesus died on the center cross between two sinners.
