From the Office

If you are keeping your child home with an illness or are awaiting some sort of test results for your child or anyone in your immediate family, Please call the School Nurse at 817-814-7300 or email at ouida.wilkes@fwisd.org and let her know.

If a student displays symptoms below, the student will be sent home

  • Fever 99.9 or above

  • Complains food doesn't taste or smell right

  • Vomiting

  • Runny Nose

  • Sore Throat

  • Cough (chesty cough)

  • Difficulty Breathing (non asthmatics)

  • Severe Headache Pain

  • Chills

  • Body Aches

  • Fatigue

  • Nausea

  • Diarrhea

Benchmark Testing

All spirit wear must be school appropriate which includes the following:

  • Safe - students must wear closed toed shoes, no slippers

  • Covers - no rips, holes or tears, no clothes considered too revealing (bare midriffs, tube tops, tank tops, cut off shirts, low-cut tops, see-through shirts)

  • Bottoms- no shorter than three inches above the knee, no sagging pants

  • Unacceptable - clothes with lewd, offensive, vulgar, or obscene pictures, emblems or language

  • 12/4 - End of 2nd Six Weeks

  • 12/7 - Start of 3rd Six Weeks

  • 12/8 - Math Benchmark (Virtual and In-Person Learners)

  • 12/9 - Reading Benchmark (Virtual and In-Person Learners)

  • 12/21-1/5 - No School, Winter Break
