Services are designed to improve individual and family functioning with fully licensed therapists or those working under the supervision of a licensed LPC or LMFT.
For children between the ages of two and eight, a counselor at The Parenting Center may use Play Therapy as a way of helping children address and resolve problems. This highly successful and proven procedure is a structured approach that builds upon a child’s normal methods of communication and learning by encouraging them to express their feelings through play. Through play therapy, children learn to communicate with others, express feelings, modify behavior, develop problem-solving skills and learn a variety of ways to relate to others.
Insurance is accepted, but for sessions denied by Medicaid, CHIP, Child Protective Services, or other third-party payer you will be charged $50.00.
Daytime, evening, and Saturday appointments may be scheduled by calling or emailing us.

Our therapists provide a range of services, including individual, family and group therapy for issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, PTSD and relationship issues. In addition, we provide drug testing, drug testing supplies, and DNA testing.
Services Include:
Continuing Education-We offer continuing education on diverse subject matter by qualified professionals across the state of Texas.
Couples Therapy-generally focused on partners in or out of marriage or relationships, but can also include business partners or co-workers.
Family Therapy- involves two or more members of a family participating in therapy sessions together.
Group Therapy-can be organized around specific problems such as anxiety, sexual abuse, eating disorders, drug abuse, or sexting. It can also be organized by age, gender, or specific client needs.
Individual Therapy-based on one-to-one interaction between client and therapist.
Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)-for adults,18+ and adolescents 13-17, exists to help those who suffer with substance use disorders (alcohol, prescription or illicit substances) find a way into recovery; to promote a better understanding of addictions; and to provide quality, evidence based treatment and support to everyone affected by drug and alcohol use.
Addictions Counseling-Traditional, SMART Recovery and Relapse Prevention-We have counselors and programs available that partner with the AA/NA community and approach treatment with a strong foundation in the 12 steps. This program has a cognitive behavioral basis that incorporates the whole person interventions advocated in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and is proven effective. We also realize that the twelve step program is not something with which everyone is comfortable. SMART Recovery is an alternative to the 12 steps that is based on Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy. SMART Recovery uses facilitated support meetings along with a 4 point approach to treatment.
Grace Counseling Center provides compassionate cutting edge therapy. We accept most insurance and have a sliding scale for those who choose not to use insurance.
