Jonathan Hatley, Director of Choirs

Jonathan Hatley is a conductor, educator, and performer and holds a Bachelor of Music Education from Texas Christian University and a Master's degree in Choral Conducting with Distinction from the University of Birmingham, England. Jonathan has worked alongside and studied under many of today's leading conductors and scholars during his time in the USA and England. His professional activities outside of teaching include editing books, publishing research, and maintaining an active career as a professional baritone.

Jonathan is primarily a conductor and has conducted choirs and orchestras in major works domestically and internationally. However, he started his career right here in Fort Worth ISD as a middle school choir director and then a piano lab instructor. He is excited to be back home in FWISD for his 8th year of teaching to lead the choir program at McLean while trying to balance life as a new dad!
